Announcing the 5th annual Honky Tonk Hodgepodge! This is the festival in Cold Beer, NM that Hang Rounders' own Ty "Steel Dattie" Breuer and Curt "Tele Dattie" Wallach put on every year. It's a blast. It's free. It's all ages. There's gonna be 36 whipassing bands. We camp out in a little tent city surrounding this big bar in the middle of nowhere in northern New Mexico. Folks make lifelong friends. Folks meet their husbands and wives there. We dance and make big bonfires and usually jump in a gross lake or two. Live music runs August 2nd from 6pm to midnight and August 3rd from noon to midnight. More info at the Podge's website.

Mega excited to officially announce this new project in Denver that Hang Rounders is part of! The cooperative label Queen City Country & Western launches on March 1st (come party with us about it that evening at Lost Lake!). We've teamed up with our friends in Casey James Prestwood and the Burning Angels, Extra Gold, Grayson County Burn Ban, High Plains Honky, and of course Jennifer Jane Niceley to create it. We're headed back to The Bomb Shelter in Nashville in early February to record album number two, y'all! Gonna be titled "Outta Beer, Outta Here." But before that, we party with our good buds Casey James Prestwood and the Burning Angels in Denver at the Globe Hall on January 21st. It's the last Saturday of the National Western Stock Show. Make a day of it! Come on out and dance! Party starts at 8pm and is just 8 bucks if you buy in advance from Globe Hall's website.

We had the pleasure of performing on Denver Open Media for their first Friday Open Music Session earlier this month. A very cool event. The concert was broadcast live on radio, cable television, and internet. If you're in the Denver area and get a chance to go to one, go! They rule.
